It’s that time of year, and we don’t mean Christmas lights and garland! We’re talking about pumpkin spice season! For many Fall lovers, pumpkin spice is the end-all of seasonings for any item, and we’ve put together a little baked good list that you can create at home with the help of your kids, whether they are into the spices or not.

Muffins

Of course, you may be dreaming of a pumpkin spice latte, but this spice blend works really well into most baking recipes. One of the best recipes for pumpkin spice is to do a muffin, whether a regular size or mini. Have your children help you gather the ingredients and start that mixer! Your kids can help you mix up the batter in no time, and if you really want to kick it up a notch, you can make a cream cheese frosting or topping for when the muffins come out of the oven. This muffin recipe can easily switch over to a cupcake recipe as well, in case your kids have any bake sales coming up for school or other gatherings where a dessert is needed.

Bread

Similar to a banana bread, you can make a pumpkin spice bread as well! Use a traditional loaf pan to get the right shape, and you can even make an oatmeal or streusel topping to add a little extra fun. To give more texture to the bread, you can also add raisins, cranberries or dates to the dough. Your kids can help with mixing it all up and sticking a toothpick in the middle to see if the bread is done!

Cookies

And speaking of baked goods, cookies are the quintessential go-to, especially with pumpkin spice! You can keep it strictly to the classic pumpkin spice flavorings, or add other items to the cookie batter, such as chocolate chips, walnuts, cranberries, raisins, and more! Have your kids help you decide what to add and chop it up. This can be a great way to spend some time with your kids while also getting that pumpkin spice craving!

Fall Seasonings

Not really a pumpkin spice fan? There are always warm, fall flavors besides pumpkin that you can swap out in these recipes. Another tried and true fall favorite is apple with cinnamon! You can even go the extra mile and get fresh apples from an orchard with your kids first, then set to peeling! You can also try other fruits that are in season, such as blueberries, cranberries, oranges, and more!
