St. John's Home EducatorsHomeschool Support Group in Warrenton, VAWe are a private group of homeschooling families based at St. John the Evangelist Church (Warrenton, VA), a Roman Catholic parish of the Diocese of Arlington (VA). Under the spiritual direction of our pastor, our primary mission is to support each other's vocation as principal and primary teachers of our children through prayer, works of mercy, as well as educational, spiritual, and social activities. Our annual family events include: Feast day celebrations, Advent/Lent Retreats, Children's Stations of the Cross and Seder Meal, Baccalaureate Mass, Fine Arts Fair and Graduation Celebration. Each year, a variety of clubs and classes are offered for the children (generally on Fridays). Popular events for teens include dance lessons and dances (Winter Ball and Spring Semi-formal). Mom's and Dad's Nights Out are held once a month. Corporal works of mercy activities also are held every month.
