West Houston Home Educators Teen Group
Homeschool Support Group in Houston, TX
Our group offers a welcoming atmosphere for teens aged 13 & up who are homeschooled & wish to develop friendships as they participate in socials, service, & learning opportunities over the course of the school year. From September to May, the teen student council with the support of the adult leadership group plan 1 social & 1 service most every month. A team scavenger hunt in the museum, our fun-filled Christmas party, get-to-know-you game nights, ice skating, & an escape-the-room event are a few of our socials. We help teens succeed on the dance floor and at the formal dinner table through our professionally led dance lessons & etiquette class that lead up to 2 casual themed dances & an elegant formal. Teens will reach out to local charities like Trash Bash, Kids' Meals Houston, Katy Prairie Conservancy, & others as well as around the globe such as Sole Hope & Operation Christmas Child. Teens also have the option to learn leadership skills & exercise their creative muscles by serving on the Student Council &/or Yearbook Staff. Our group is able to be a safe, nurturing place for teens because it is centered on a Code of Conduct. We have members from all over the Greater Houston Area. Come see why. Parents are always welcome at our events.
