Communities of Home Educators for Christ (CHEC)Homeschool Support Group in Cobb and Paulding Counties, GACHEC is a support group for Georgia families who homeschool in Cobb, Paulding and surrounding counties.In the 96-97 school year our group began as a ministry of Burnt Hickory Baptist Church and grew as they welcomed new homeschoolers into the group who were not members of BHBC. Currently our group is not affiliated with any church in particular and has about 100 member families.CHEC offers a variety of activities, fieldtrips, ideas, information, fellowship and support in your efforts to educate your child. We also act as a conduit for information about services available in our area to homeschoolers such as special classes, sports activities, etc.
